Introducing CareerSense
CareerSense is an employability programme for young people. We work together with our expert partners to provide:
- Tools and resources on CareerSense online
- Skills workshops for schools aimed at students aged 13-18
- Work experience and insight weeks
We host a wide range of resources and tools to help young people aged 13-24. Our site is broken down into three main sections based on different age groups, and different stages of the transition from school to work. Our aim is to help young people understand their choices at each stage, and equip them to make the most of them.
We also link to Learning with NatWest where they can find practical, on-demand learning to help improve their career skills.

Exploration Workshop
Our Exploration Workshop is aimed at students aged 13-18 years old, and helps bring career skills to life. While they have a practical focus on the financial services sector, they aim to cover skills which are transferable across industries.
The workshops are:
- A one hour long, interactive lesson
- Aligned to Gatsby benchmarks
- Supported by a CareerSense Ambassador from the bank
- Packaged with recommended follow up activities for classroom or home learning

CareerSense Dream Bigger
Inspire students, raise their confidence and broaden their horizons with our new CareerSense Dream Bigger programme. There’s two parts to this programme for young people aged 16-18:
- A one hour, teacher-led workshop which one of our employee Ambassadors will support
- Three 20-minute ‘Plug and Play’ lesson plans that can run before, after or independently of the workshop
CareerSense Dream Bigger will show young people the impact entrepreneurial skills will have on their future by looking at important topics such as purpose and mindset, aimed at developing their own entrepreneurial skills in preparation for the future world of work.

Insight weeks and work experience
Our Insight Weeks offer students one week in our business to learn skills needed for the world of work. We also offer limited and occasional paid work experience, with both four week placements and 18-month mentorships through Career Ready.

Tech We Can
We're proud to support Tech We Can to inspire more children, especially girls, to consider a career in tech. Tech We Can supports classroom learning for 8 - 14 year olds through free downloadable lesson plans for teachers and free on-demand recorded lessons for students to watch in school or at home.
MoneySense
Our financial education programme, MoneySense includes lessons for primary and secondary school pupils helping them to become money confident.
